Offense:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: LaDainian Tomlinson
FB: Lorenzo Neal
WR: Marvin Harrison
WR: Torry Holt
TE: Tony Gonzalez
T: Walter Jones
T: Jonathan Ogden
G: Alan Faneca
G: Steve Hutchinson
C: Olin Kreutz

Defense:

DE: Michael Strahan
DT: Warren Sapp
DT: Kris Jenkins
DE: Jason Taylor
LB: Derrick Brooks
LB: Ray Lewis
LB: Brian Urlacher
CB: Champ Bailey
CB: Troy Vincent
S: Ed Reed
S: Troy Polamalu

Besides maybe Holt and Vincent, Its pretty hard to argue with that list. You could put Moss or Owens in there as WR just as easily. Tough choice. There hasnt really been a dominant CB except Champ Bailey so thats another hard choice. I got Tom Brady and Ed Reed 1 & 1a as my players of the decade.

You may not agree with it but there is at least an argument for Peyton Manning as the QB of the decade.

Even though Brady's got 3x more rings than Manning in 2 less seasons?

None of which he won by himself, since football is a team sport. The "three rings" argument is so tired, especially post-spygate.

Troy Vincent? Are they serious?

And Torry Holt I disagree with, should be Randy Moss probably.

I take out FB and add another WR. I am sure that any RB would rather have Moss/T.O than a solid blocking FB

Peyton Manning is the best QB in the last decade. To those of you saying that Tom is better because of his rings, think of Big Ben Roethlisberger, my personal favorite, he has two. Is he better then Peyton? No way.

Exactly. Is Terry Bradshaw one of the best QBs of all time? He has 4 rings, but no one would even put him in the top 10.

Brady did have that monster record breaking season before he got injured. Manning may be the more gifted passer, but if i had to win one game id probably want Brady rather than Manning.

And I'll take Ben Roethlisberger over both of 'em.

Said it before and I'll say it again: if you put either of those two behind the offensive line the Steelers have had since Ben came in the league, they might both have retired or been driven out of the game with injury. It's pretty easy to pass when you have six or seven seconds. The Giants got after Tommy Boy a little and, oh gee, he lost a Super Bowl. When Ben needs to win, he typically does.

Manning has definitely had more offensive weapons for most of his career. That changed in 2007 when Moss, Welker, and Stallworth were signed. We weren't able to see if that was just a one-year thing or if they would continue since Brady got hurt so early. Eventually I think history will show Manning was better, but at this point they both should have at least 3 good years left assuming Brady can return to form post-injury.

Peyton>Brady case closed. Brady hade better d-fense, better coaching, more luck aka raiders game infamous fumble, peyton is more accurate, chooses own plays and has a worse oline and rb depth

The amount of bias in all of these comments is funny. That said, Shaun Alexander should have won at RB, Hasselback at QB, and Engram at WR.

I don't understand why Bradshaw doesn't get more credit. He had a great arm (held the Louisiana Highschool Javelin record for a while), and he led the Steelers to all those championships. I'd put him in the top ten.

My all 2000s team (scoring positions) QB Peyton Manning (Being a Patriots fan, this hurts me, but Peyton's the best) RB Ladanian Tomlinson FB Jamal Lewis (On my team, he'd be a fullback) WR Randy Moss WR Marvin Harrison TE Tony Gonzales K Adam V.

Peyton and the colts got a rule changed for them after they were so roughed up by the patriots back in '03. The whole you can only touch a WR for the first 5 yards off the line of scrimmage was put in place after a playoff game with the pats and colts. Now I am totally biased (check the avatar) but when Tom Brady spends the better part of his career, and by that I mean every year up until 07, throwing to WR's who also play DB and still comes up with 3 SB rings? 2 of those 3 SB's had him driving in the last 2 minutes to secure the win? Peyton may have stats for days when its all done with, and Big Ben might have the "tough" factor, but when it comes down to winning games in January and February, regardless of the talent around him, you gotta go with Brady. Once again don't listen to me because I'm incredibly biased, but just my two cents.

    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
