They just came in today! I got them off a reputable seller on eBay for a very good price. Inspected them and registered them so I'm happy the transaction was legit and timely. Brand new. I can't hit them until tomorrow but I can't wait. The rack version is very close to my natural fitting so I'm excited. Might need a half degree bend but that's not too bad. I've hit them at various stores around town and after hitting a lot of irons they were the ones for me. I'll hopefully be able to comment on them tomorrow. They're beautiful clubs and should benefit me greatly. I'm upgrading from a set of "Dunlop Tour Specials" from the late 80's/early 90's my dad got from a JC Penny and I inherited. They were decent enough but I've outlived their benefit for awhile now and just needed something a bit more modern. I got decent with those and I really hope I can shave 5 strokes with these.

Anyone else have these irons? I know TM isn't too popular around here and I never thought I'd buy TM irons. But I liked them the best in the grade of irons I was shopping for so I went with them. I'm not ready for a blade like the Mizuno's everyone here loves yet and I think this iron is right for me.

I'm really pumped. This is the first iron set I've ever bought!

$512.00 shipped. Brand new, in the box. 4 - 9, PW, AW.

they go for $850.00 at my local Golf Galaxy and it seems the typical Internet store price is $699.00. You can find them on eBay for around $550-$600 and I'm sure in a month they will be cheaper. Just went outside and swung the 6 iron around and it felt great. Obviously it won't matter until I have a ball in front of me. But I grabbed my old 6 also and it was a world of difference. Will have to take a stop at the driving range during lunch and then after tomorrow.

I bought my burners about a month ago. Finally got fitted for a set of clubs and it's making a major differnce. Absolutely love them. Very forgiving, nice sweet spot, easy to get the ball up in the air, and they are wicked long. Switching to these from my old tommy armour 845u's made a massive difference in distance and off center hits. I hit my old 3 iron ~200 yards, with the burners I can almost hit my 6 iron that far.

wow...these look like the affordable irons de-jour. I was fitted and bought my set last Friday. This was my first fitting and after the rep set up for me...I think I see what the fuss is about. Comfort. Man it just felt like I could dig in to the ball and be aggressive and confidant...but didn't feel like I was over swinging. Maybe the first time my swing really felt grooved. Should have mine next week too. I'm a little worried about having to re-dial my distances though...probably a good problem to have.

I finally got to give these a run and took them on our first date tonight at the range.

First off, the clubs I was using before were about 20 years old and kinda cheap-o at the time. Before that set I was using before those were Tour Edge's that were probably about 7 years old. They were good clubs and felt better than the older Dunlops I started using. The first thing I noticed is golf technology has come a long, long ways. I really can't believe how forgiving modern clubs are. I hit a lot of shots pretty square (looking at my ball marks, I can see most of my shots are coming off the middle of the club) but when you don't, you still get a really good shot. And fat shots are still saved quite a bit by the sole designs.

These clubs are definitely long. I was getting considerably more distance than before and obviously a lot of that is the fact that I upgraded to modern tech. Certainly, I don't have a frame of reference to compare to. I've hit a lot of modern clubs but not long extended periods of time so I haven't got to really "know" another modern set well.

You notice the lightness of the shafts. It's really great. The club head is still in perfect balance so it isn't like you have the ultra heavy head relative to the shaft weight. It "feels" normal, but you need less effort to get them around and you feel like and controlling the club head is very easy.

As for feel on shots, you definitely know when you hit the nuts. You can feel the compression run up through the shaft and into your hands very nicely. You know that ball is going to sail. On mishits you still feel like you made good contact and the ball still takes off. So, you need to be attuned but you can feel when and where a ball was struck.

My ball flight seemed pretty high. I think that's part of my natural shot but I don't think I'm losing distance really. Obviously, most player level clubs have a lower trajectory. And I'm not sure a 4-iron in this set it going to be easy to keep really low and cut through wind. Regardless, I was getting good distance and I had no complaints. The shots look beautiful, really.

The long length feels a little different at first but its minor and you adjust rather quickly. The standard offsets work well for me. Like everything else in this set, they're "progressive" so the long irons have more offset and the short irons have very little. I'm pushing the ball less and I think the offset is helping me create that draw I was getting. Very pretty looking.

The sound is nice. It isn't some obnoxious sound and it fact is sort of muted. It sounds powerful when the ball hits nicely giving some good feedback.

I think all in all, the progressive design is a great idea. The long irons are more forgiving and the short irons have more feel. I like that the lofts are a little smaller on the longer irons. It helps you get a little more distance but you don't feel like you're hitting a longer club. The 4-iron doesn't feel like a 3 iron and gets through as easy as any other 4 I've played. Even on the typical 45* PW, I was getting considerably more distance due to the longer shaft and modern technology.

Obviously Taylor Made's hype on these was that they were the most revolutionary clubs since Ping released the "i" series. That's hype for sure. But they have taken a new direction that will be copied by some I think and that's the progressive design throughout the set. It makes every clubs sort of fall into place a little better. And the way they manipulated lofts, lengths, offsets and sole size make the irons longer but not feel like you're hitting a longer iron. Coupled with the lightweight shafts, grips and club heads, you get more control and a faster swing without inputting more force. Easy, precise swings send a ball flying.

I know this isn't the most technical review but it is what it is. I also realize I'm not really qualified to write reviews of golf clubs as my experience isn't that great. But I also know from just a single night at the range that these are going to help me a lot. The clubs feel great, look great, sound great and work as advertised. It's a great set for someone who isn't ready for or doesn't want to play a blade and appreciates the ease of use properties of this club. And for the record, I'm not a gear loyalist to any brand. I own Cleveland woods and a Titalist wedge and an off brand putter I plan to upgrade.

I hit them today too man, I liked them, just no one knows if Im a regular or a stiff flex....

The biggest reason they are so long is because they put longer shafts on them than anyone else...... They are 3/4" longer than standard Mizunos. and a 1/2" longer than pretty much everyone else. I forgot what happens when you lengthen the shaft, the club gets lighter or heavier, i dont remember, but they made up for that with lighter/heavier shaft (I dont remember if its light shaft because its longer or heavier shaft cuz its longer) but thats why.

They gave me a 6 iron today, to take home and hit, and your right I hit it about 190-200... thats just sick but it also feels like Im cheating..... I shouldnt hit a 9 iron 160 yards!

Still on the fence about these clubs, but they are getting pretty good reviews. Congrats on your new set, sounds like you love them!
