Mizuno T zoid pro vs. mp-67 or different set?

ive been playing golf for about 5 yrs, consistently for about 2-3 yrs. my T Zoid pro's is my 1st ever set. i learned off these clubs from the beginning.

lowest ive ever scored is an 87 and recently an 89. i can consistently hit around 94-97 but there are days when im in the 110 range.

a lot of my friends have told me to change to a mid cavity club to get more consistent and ended up using my friends Nike NDS club for about 2 rounds and HATED IT.

my lady wants to buy me a new set of irons and a fellow co-worker has a set of MP-67's that hes willing to sell for cheap.

im wondering if there is a big enough difference from T zoid to MP-67 to justify the purchase or should i look some clubs with a slight cavity?

The 67s are blades. If you're looking for forgivness, these aren't what you should be looking at. Check the MX-200 or the MP-52. Or wait for the MX-300 in a couple of months.

If you're not a consistent (and I mean consistent ) ball striker the MP-67's will haunt you in your dreams. Mizuno has more forgiving clubs that would probably be right up your alley.
Driver: ZL 10.5⁰
Fairway: Burner 15⁰/19⁰

I agree with the above posts but if you do get the 67s(great clubs btw) id use the 3,4,and 5 t-zoid pros and the rest mp-67. But thats just what id do.

I thought t-zoids were wedges? But the mp-67 is definitely not a cavity back. It is a muscle back blade reserved for shotmakers

I currently use a mixed set of T-Zoid pros and MP-33s. I have to say, T-Zoids are not as forgiving as some of the later cavity backs. Just a little more than blades. They are great feeling clubs though.

To answer your question, I guess it depends on why you are switching. T-Zoids are classic player's irons, if you are switching because they are getting busted up, switch perhaps to another cavity set. If you are switching because you demand more feedback and control over your irons, and you are an excellent ballstriker, switch to the MP-67s.

I played the T Zoid Pro until late last year when I switched to the MP 60. I debated between the MP 60 and 67, but got a very good deal on a new set of MP 60. If you can hit the T Zoid, you can hit the MP 67.

cheap? I'd do it in a heartbeat and slowly replace each Zoid in your bag.

I've gone from the Mp33 to MP67, and love them. But they are a players iron. If you dont shoot in the 70's consistently, they are not the irons for you.

kind of a late post but i found out that they arent the 67's but the 60's

i think i will end up gettin the set since he only wants $200 for an almost brand new set of mp-60's.

any thoughts on the 60's? havent had a chance to hit the range yet

I let my cousin, a ~18 handicap, hit my MP-67's and it was almost painful to watch

The shots were thinner than Lindsay Lohan on a coke bender.

I play the 60's, I bought them about this time last year. Of all the sets out there, and I hit most of them, I chose the 60.

I've got the MP-57s and -67s, and the 67s are definitely a bit more challenging to hit. I occasionally play with a mixed set 4-7 MP-57 and 8-PW MP-67, which is a nice compromise, but lately I've only been using the PW from my 67s, as I hit the 57s about 10 yards further per club. If you are looking for more forgiveness, going to the 67s is the wrong direction. That said, if you took them out and hit the holy bejesus out of them, go use them. There really aren't any rules about which clubs to use; it's pretty much all in your head.
