    • NBA
      17
    • NHL
      27

Besides the hardcore fans, i think the postseason is when most of the rest of sports fans pay attention to the NBA or NHL. Which do you think gives the common fan more excitement?

Probably the NBA - the games are shorter and they have cheerleaders.

I don't think either of them or great, but I have more gripes with the regular season. Way too long, Basketball shouldn't be played in june.

I personally find the journey to the Stanley Cup to the be the most gruelling and interesting of all major professional sports in North America. The regular season it just too long though. It wasn't that many years ago that the final series was over in mid-May.

Not really for baseball. Baseball only has 3 rounds of the playoffs, and one of them is best of 5. The NBA and NHL let too many teams into the playoffs, IMO. But I might be biased, because I am more of a baseball fan. I suppose the MLB regular season could be shorter, but I don't see them cutting the amount of games, and they have very few off days as it is. The NBA and NHL might be able to get away with more off days.

The NBA is more exciting and fast pased (generally) but the NHL has more history in its playoffs and it means more. So i like to watch both. But if it came down to Stanley Cup game 7 or NBA finals game seven, im probably watching the NBA finals.

I'm biased because I'm a big NBA fan and not so much NHL. With that said, I'm thorooughly enjoying the playoffs this year. OKC has put up some great games against the Lakers and as a former Sonics fan, a part of me wants the Thunders to take it far in the play offs.

NHL hands down. A ton more action - lots of hitting - fast and furious pace - mix in a little blood with slapshots and fighting...there you are.

Definitely NBA for me but when you play certain sports growing up you understand them better. I don't really understand all the strategy in hockey so I don't understand a lot of what is going on.

You should cheer for team like the Calgary Flames. They bother with things like strategy!! I feel bad for Jarome Iginla!

The NBA strategy is easy - give the ball to the biggest guy. One dribble and 5 or 6 steps to a monster flush. Woot!!
