Did you guys see these at the Memorial? They look really cool and apparently help you align the putt.

Call it what you want, but the white on green contrast does help. It is my next putter.

Putting is the most personal and mental aspect of the game. As long as you;re rolling the ball who really cares how you do it? If this helps somebody more power to them, but to knock it and dismiss it as a gimmick is asinine and short sighted.

All those Scotty Cameron's people rave about are gimmicks too. But if a $400 dollar putter makes you feel better about that 3 footer that just lipped out more power to you. It's all about confidence and you're individual stroke...

Actually, I read several articles on this. I don't particularly like white cliche products. The ghost putter was apparently developed in part by several opthamologists due to the contrast provided by the body, the lines and the cut out. It's easier for your retina to recognize and translate the alignment of the putter.

I won't put one in my bag, because after all, it is white... but I don't think it's a gimmick.

The white contrast is definitely a sweet look and helps a ton. In honor of this new putter craze and Justin Roses win two weeks ago here is my "ghost" putter I have been gaming. I may start a new thread if people are interested in seeing more pics.

Got excited with all the talk. So I went to a local pro shop, picked it up and liked the clean finish and white color of the Rossa Corza (Ghost).
But it didn't feel right for me. Spent 20 minutes trying to like it, but didn't. Never make a decision on looks alone.
And like it's been said here countless times, pick a putter because you like its feel and it works for you. Undoubtedly
many people will game this and that's great because it works for them.

If what you say is true, wouldn't knocking a $400 putter (actually they tend to run less than $300), and dismissing it as a gimmick also be asinine and short-sighted - particularly if somebody believes such a putter helps them?

Personally, I'd have said a putter that has several inches of drainpipe on the back (read: Nickent Pipe) of it is more of a gimmick than the TM Ghost or a Scotty Cameron....but that's just me

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
