Anyone Own a R9 or R9 TP driver? How do you like it? I am considering buying one and wanted to get some feedback, any hookers out there that dials it 2 degree open and found that it helps reduce your draw or sometimes hook?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

they are good.
i used a demo one from the pro shop for a week and i really liked it.
mine was set up neutral....

also have a look at the ping K15

always give way to the Greenskeeper!!

in my bag:
whatever clubs i find left behind on the course... But the Ping Anser will never be beaten!!

i think shaft selection is more important than clubhead..... there is not much between them all in the heads really...better gains with a better shaft like a fujikura speeder or simular with correct kickpoint for you, the individual

always give way to the Greenskeeper!!

Thanks, I notice the TP models have upgrade shafts,

Matrix Ozik Xcon-5 57 grams
Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki 63
Motore By Fujikura 65g

are just some of the upgrade shafts I notice offered with the R9 TP model

Thanks, I notice the TP models have upgrade shafts,

I don't care for the feel of the R9 head compared to a few other TM models, however that is based on pretty limited experience. I do really like the Fuji Motore shaft however. It's a very stable feeling shaft that's given me a few extra yards while tightening my dispersion.

I really like mine, mainly because it doesn't come stock with a crazy long shaft. That alone has me hitting much closer to the center of the club face. As far as all the tinker-toy features, I played with them a little, but I'm not really looking for a band-aid fix for my swing issues, and ended up settling on the neutral setting on the FCT, although I left the heavier weight on the heel, as I tend to send the ball to the right. Great club tho.

mine should be here tomorrow, ill report back when i can
i like to try different shafts, and prefer a sub 460 head...this club fit the bill

the original R9 is a 420 cc head, and it hs a nice shape (not quite a pear, it has a slight triangle shape thingy...but i like it)
this club just oozes confidence looking down at it (based on hitting my buddies w the stock Motore Shaft)

and hey...if DJ can average over 300+ yds w it, why cant we?? ;)

the only real way to compare heads is to put the shaft that fits you best in all of them and hit them a bunch
most of the time its the shaft that makes the difference

Hi, I hit the R9 TP, as much as I hate to say it, it's a good driver. I played the O7 burner TP 2.5* open and I love it, could hit a nice little baby draw :)

As for thr person who has the K15, if you hook it that would be a horrible driver, K15 is a hackers driver. If you hook, you would want to try somthing like the Ping I15 (very very hard to turn over) Cleveland Launcher DST "tour" (it sits open) Titelist D3.
