Lie angle on putter

Please can someone explain to me why.....

When watching a putter on Tv or anywhere else, it seems as though the toe end of the putter is upright? Would it not be better to have a flatter lie?

Would this not pull the ball left?

Maybe I am incredibly dumb!

most guys will have a pretty flat putter

some have a slight toe up and it may be a preference

generally speaking tho, you want it fairly flat to the ground, cause yes too much tow up will result in a miss left

To me most of the putters seen on TV seem flat on ground to me with the exception of Steve Stricker,who has the heel of the ground.

it's preferential for many good players who consistently putt a certain way.  they've honed their skills to the point of wanting that lie angle.  we all need to have our putters fitted for our swing just as every other club in the bag.
