Having lost a big bunch of weight, I'm wanting to get back into walking after 25 years of riding and have been looking at carts. I'd be interested in any recommendations between the Clickgear (2.0 or 3.0), the Tour Trek, the Bag Boy, and the Sun. Or any others you have experience with.   I'd like to keep it under $200, or so. Durability and easy rolling are my main criteria.  Having a seat accessory would be a plus, but not having one would not be a deal breaker.

On a side note, I can do 3 miles in 45 minutes on a treadmill (4 mph average) so I think I am at a point where I can walk 9 definitely and maybe even walk 18. My course is 6500 yards and not too hilly. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

I use the Clicgear 2.0 and find it to be a very good cart.  For this part of the country with a lot of zoysia fairways the wider wheels seem to work better than the narrow air filled wheels.  I like the ability to fold it small as a lot of time I am playing a round with my brother, who has an original Clicgear, and the two of them fold up small enough for us to get two bags and two carts in the trunk.  Not sure of all of the changes with the 3.0 vs.2.0 but but either way I think it is a good choice.

One bit of advice, the umbrella holder does not stay on the cart, My dad, brother and I have all lost them. I bought a replacement holder and hook it on the cart with a carbiner so as not to lose it again.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

I only have personal experience with the Clicgear 3.0, one thing I like about it over the Sun Mtn speed carts is it folds up into a very small package.  It does make it a lot easier to load up your stuff and get it all to fit in one place, while still providing you with as good of a cart you can buy.  That being said I wouldn't rule out another make or model of cart.  Just make sure it has all the features you want and is of sturdy construction.  The SM and CG carts are expensive but you get what you pay for...

Nike Vapor Speed driver 12* stock regular shaft
Nike Machspeed 4W 17*, 7W 21* stock stiff shafts
Ping i10 irons 4-9, PW, UW, SW, LW AWT stiff flex
Titleist SC Kombi 35"; Srixon Z Star XV tour yellow

Clicgear 3.0; Sun Mountain Four 5

Thanks.  I saw that about 15 minutes after I posted my original message and scooted over there.  I figured an $80 savings on a top-ranked cart was about as good a recommendation as I could get, so I pulled the trigger.  It should be here in a week or so and I am looking forward to it.  I've already gone on youtube to watch the videos abut unfolding it and refolding it, and all of the different features.

I am very curious how I will do in walking the course, but I am optimistic, since I did 3 miles in 45 minutes on the treadmill last night.  I know I can go 9 holes and I think I can go 18, since even though 18 holes is farther I won't be walking as fast and it will (hopefully) be over a 3-1/2 hour period rather than 45 minutes.

Thanks again to all who responded.  I am new here but not new to golf or golf discussion boards and this seems like  really nice one.

I got in on that great deal from Modell's that was briefly available ($119.99) and my Clicgear 3.0 just arrived today.  I was extremely impressed with the way it was packed for shipping.  It had an outer cardboard sleeve protecting the box it came it.  Once I got it opened the painted surfaces were protected with plastic wrap. but the plastic wrap was made in such a way that it came off extremely easily.

I've already unfolded it and refolded it.  I'm going to go practice after work tomorrow and load up the clubs to do so.  So I will get golf practice and clicgear practice.  LOL

I'm planning on playing this weekend with it.

My wife purchased this Caddy Tek 13.5 with the umbrella attachment for me last November (my BDay gift). She paid it $99 CDN at Costco.

I haven't used it yet, but it sure feels solid and folds down to a small footprint!
