After only two rounds the paint fill on the soles of both my MP-T10 wedges was starting to flake off, so I figured I would strip them and then custom paint fill them in blue and white.

This is the end result, what you think?

Nice work.  Although for Mizuno, I wouldn't have expected the paint to flake so quickly.

Yeah me neither, but it was only on the log and number on the sole, both clubs have been used in quite hard bunkers as well (due to weather in UK) so that may have contributed, still I like them better than the black/red/white colours they came in.

Wonderful!

I really like that dark blue, looks great!

Cheers it is a Navy Blue Nail Polish, almost looks like a purple blue in the bottle but comes out real nice over the silver

Cheers, it is so easy to do.

I used Nitromor All Purpose Paint & Varnish Remover and Cotton buds (Q Tips) to get all the paint fill out, rinsed them and then did the Blue on the sole and Mizuno text using the Navy Blue nail varnish, the brush that comes with the nail varnish is great and if you just put enough to paint fill don't worry about getting on the face of the club around the lettering, I just gave it a quick blow and then with flat tissue used some nail varnish remover to remove the excess varnish. I then repeated this process about 3 times allowing to dry after each clean down. Then did the same with White Nail Varnish

Sound like it but I am wondering how well this is going to hold up...let us know how it does over say a month or so of normal use...thanks again and very nice sticks.

Will do man, I used the same blue varnish on my old Ping Tour-W soles and that was still on them after 3 months of use over winter when I sold them, two weeks ago.

I'm not sure how well nail polish will last, but I did a custom paintfill on my Callaway wedges and refilled the numbers on my irons using Testors enamel paint and it's worked great and it lasts.  It's very easy to do and it comes off easy using acetone (nail polish remover) so I'd try to do it yourself if you like it, you can't really screw it up.

The Nail Varnish/Polish my wife uses is Rimmel and is Enamel, so just the same as the Testors model paint.

    • We do not buy extended warranties. We will use one of our credit cards for the purchase that extends the warranty "x 2". Our thoughts are: a. if the item is a lemon, it will likely break right away and we can attempt to apply the original warranty or credit card extension. b. over the long haul, we will probably save more money by not purchasing the extended warranty and fixing/junking broken items out of our own pocket. The important thing is to keep some records of purchases so one may make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty. I recently sent back some Footjoy shoes for leaking and Footjoy did a reat job of making the claim process work very well. I had the original receipt, warrant info and box. Easy peasy.
