The thread title basically says it all.  This is my first thread on here so let me know if I posted this in the wrong section.

Those are the 3 sets of clubs i'm looking at.  I can get the shafts custom for no upcharge, so feel free to give input on those as well.

I am a 6 handicap, and I hit the ball pretty high.  I am looking for a set that allows for maximum workability, but still has a little forgiveness.

What do you guys think?

All great sticks but for your HC I would say the Nike Combo Irons would provide the best workability and playability out of all of them. I am not saying that you can't work the ball with either the AP2 or X forged because you can but the Pro Combos do have three irons (8-PW with a low flight) that are blades and are the scoring clubs in the iron set that will have a high amount of workability as well as the cavity (3,4 to get the ball up) and split cavity (5-7 to get that forgiveness and a mid flight) irons you get as well.

- VR Pro LTD - 9.5 Ahina X

- VR_S 3, 5 woods - Fubuki X

- VR Pro Combo - 3-Pw S300's

- Method 001 - 34in.

- 20XI-S

- 20XI Staff Bag

Welcome !

These sets are almost identical allthough I would say the new X-Forged to be more or less a club for the near scratch player, it is less forgiving than you would expect !

The new Pro Combo set is less workable in the long irons and the AP2 has a good mix of forgiviness, feel and workabillity.

As for shafts you might like the Project X 5.0 or 5.5 which are stiffer than the Dynamic gold R300 / S300 and will get you ballflight down. Project X 6.0 is way stiffer than S300 and 99% of the guys that think they need Project X 6.5 will end up crippled in a few weeks.

Hit all and pick the one you like best.......

(maybe have a look at Titleist 710 CB as well as you really like the X forged)

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
