Read 'the biggest secret? SLIDE Your Hips' thread recently and went to the range today.  I've got lots more reading to do but would appreciate advice.  Thanks for any comments.

My thoughts are that I need to work on my back swing.  It seems like I slide back and move my head too much.

Played 9 monday.  Didn't make good contact.  I was too focused on keeping my head still but not really knowing how it should feel.  Played 9 Tuesday and stopped focusing on my head.  Made sure I got weight forward.  Made better contact.  I don't think I'll try to make changes on the course.  I'll go to range on weekends and maybe one other day each week to work on my swing then just try to reinforce those changes on the course.

Got the stack and tilt DVDs.  Recorded myself in the back yard.  Not worth posting.  I'm still bringing club back poorly (pointing towards right of target at top of backswing) so I'm trying to get the feel in my hands/wrists (and not even swing back that far).  Not sure that I'm tilting correctly.  It feels pretty awkward so far.  I plan to go to the range tomorrow so I can hit some balls.  I will post another video.

I like S&T; so far just because they explain why they do everything.  I play table tennis so I have a good grasp of spinning the ball but was always confused because I always read "swing path = ball path, face = spin" but didn't really question it.  I'm happy to know I did actually know what was going on and being able to make decisions for myself on the course will be huge (I expect).
