Buying new Wedges.

i currently carry a PW -48 GW-52 SW-56 LW-60 and a 64 degree callaway wedge so i carry 5...in my case 4 wouldn't be too much and with those irons i can't see the price but i have heard nothing but great things about adams....if you have it i would say go for it but the Vokey wedges are amazing

I am working up the courage to swap out my 52 and 56 for a 54 58 vokey set up but just am having trouble justifying the 300 bucks.

Currently I carry a 46° 51° (52° sits in my bag but is useless) and a 56°.  As mentioned above ideally once I get the money I will be changing to a 46° 52° 54° (56 maybe for chipping because I'm familure with it) and 58°.  As for the Adams wedges I have heard very good things about them and if they are at a good price you can't go wrong.
 

I, like you, just decided it was time to upgrade/start carrying additional wedges.  My current make up is a PW/AW/SW/Lob Wedge.  I walked into the store, mind made up that I was buying either a vokey or cleveland wedge and when I asked the salesman which he would reccomened he said neither and pointed me in the direction of the Mizuno MP T-11. I was skeptical, but he brought me to their launch monitor/video flight path simulator, and 30 min later I was sold. I hit all three clubs for about 10 min a piece and my personal preference ended up being the Mizuno.  Now, you might not feel the same way about it as I did, but it was the least expensive of the three and felt the best when I was hitting it.  I ended up buying the 60 degree wedge and may go back to replace my snd wedge.

Are Texan Classics gun metal wedges any good?

They are certainly visually appealing and you can't beat the price.

 Delayed response: I bought these and they have worked quite well for me. They are a bit on the heavy side, but that works out well when trying to get through thick stuff.....Downside is that I hightly doubt the grooves are conforming, so you'll probably want to avoid them if you're planning on playing any competitive rounds.
