Anyone watch the replay of the 2001 Players last night

The Golf Channel had it on.  Amazing how much the game has changed since then.  Tiger is a good 10 to 20 yards longer off the tee and at least a club longer with his irons.  One thing I noticed about his game was how much better his irons were, especially with distance control.

 

It was also fun to watch Hal Sutton strut that place.  The dude was hitting 3 irons into some of the par 4's and one of the par 3's.

I watched a little of it too - was funny seeing Hal swing an old TaylorMade Bubble Shaft Driver. For 2000, that was the shizz. (I believe the replay was the 2000 Players that Sutton won ("Be the right club toDAY") - 2001 was the 'Better than most' Tiger drain on 17 when he won)

 

Was also interesting how young Tiger looked back then.

 My mistake.  I remember, watching the back nine of that one on Monday morning.  Sutton and Tiger didn't say a word to each other all day.  Is it me or has the Stadium course at Sawgrass gotten considerably longer since this tournament was played?

I watched that last night. Great dual. One thing that stood out for me was Tiger's shirt. Was only about 3 sizes too big. But that's the way they were worn then.
