Unlike last year where I had injuries to 4 of my starters in the first 2 weeks (I believe steven jackson, jamaal charles, Andre Johnson, and someone else)... everyone healthy so far (fingers crossed) this year.

If this was your team would anyone trade: Matt Ryan, Brandon Pettigrew, and Jamaal Charles for Ray Rice and Giants D?

RB: Matt Forte

RB: Jamaal Charles

WR: Julio Jones

WR: AJ Green

TE: Jermichael Finley

W/R/T: Willis McGahee

K: David Akers

D: GB Packers

BN: Brandon Pettigrew

BN: Donald Brown
BN: Andrew Luck
BN: Greg Little
BN: Mikel LeShoure
BN: Martellus Bennett

Ryan has the potential this year with the anticipated performance decline of Michael Turner to be a top 3 QB.  I think you have a pretty balanced team now, and ultimately the trade is Ryan and Charles for Rice as you already have a top defense and would start Finley most weeks.  I don't believe in keeping a backup defense.

Most weeks under typical scoring systems (especially non-PPR) Ryan and Charles will combine for more points than Rice and Luck.  I'd check waivers and look for Alfred Morris, CJ Spiller and even Shonn Greene to provide you with more RB options.

Woops I left out a BN spot where I DO have a back up D filling it: Buffalo Bills.

Thanks, I was going to pick up Spiller but I was number 9/10 on waiver priority and thus denied! There really arent many quality RBs left in this league.  I find myself extremely adverse to picking up any RB from washington, Im scared from last year.

Someone dropped Cutler so im going to pick him up and drop Luck, although Im hesitant to do that because damn I want to believe in Luck.  Im feeling the same about Greg Little but damn Weeden sucks balls.  I want to drop him for Amendola (which will probably give me a good back up during bye weeks since this is a PPR league).

Amendola is a good option but I'd hold on to Little for another week to see if Weeden works things out or if the Browns go back to McCoy.  Little is their #1 and if you're in a PPR he should be a decent WR3 and potentially a WR2.  Cutler is great, I have him on one of my teams along with RG3.  He's worth stashing for bye weeks and better matchups

  • 2 weeks later...

Had bad week last week but this is looking like a good week!  I was unable to make any pick ups last week because I was so high on the waiver list but thank god because my team is fine so far... although I still kind of wanted Amendola (someone else picked him up).

I have Leshoure, Andre Brown, and Jamaal Charles starting in my other league... KILLING IT!

    • I have a putting mat in my office. It's 9 feet long almost 4 feet wide. I've drawn a line down it in order to practice hitting my line and stuff. Works fine for what it is.  While I'm not a fan of lining up a line on my golfball for every putt. I think for practice sessions it can have a lot of value.  To me this product makes sense. This is the first time I've seen it. It showed up as an add on the right side of the TST webpage. What do you all think? PuttAIM Laser Training Aid Get ready to dominate the greens like never before. PuttAIM Golf is a golf putting aid that uses laser technology to help you improve your game. This device works to ensure your putts are aligned properly and on track...
    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.

    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
