Bubbalicious Bogeys for Watson!

I was eager to get the opportunity to take a look at the leaderboard of the Northern Trust Open today but was stunned to see that Bubba shot 40/37 in today's opening round. Bogeyed number 1 and then 5,6,7,8!  I can't remember the last time I saw a pro bogey 4 in a row.

Anyone else remember a pro bogeying 4 in a row?

I heard that he was trying to keep up with Rickie Fowler in his latest stunt.

I didn't remember that one. But, it is good to see that the pros are human. They shoot some lousy golf every now and then. Of course, they often knock out 3 birdies in a row...haven't done that yet. I've had two in a row and then usually bogey trying for number the third one.

I'm trying to remember but has Bubba played any good since he won the Masters? I don't really remember him contending anything after that?

Did you happen to watch the U.S. Ryder Cup team on Sunday afternoon this year?

j/k of course; they didn't bogey 4 in a row (that I can remember) but several looked very amateurish coming down the stretch.

Bubba has had a few hiccups this season.  He had to withdrawal from Torrey Pines due to flu like symptoms.  I'm sure he will get it going again, but agree that it is quite interesting to see a guy with his talent struggle.  Today he looked lost.
