Without having to carry really heavy things around? I stand my extra clubs on the tripod into the wind. This is for a light point and shoot, not a heavier camera. The wind blew my tripod down the other day and my Casio took a hit - front lens cap thing fell off, but thankfully it still works.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Pros use sandbags.  I would bring a small rope tie it to the top of the tripod leave a loop large enough to fit the top of your golf bag and lay the bag through the loop under the tripod.  Keep the bag an inch off the ground.  Or not video when it is windy.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. 5 pounds should be enough? 7.5 perhaps.
