I've been Playing Golf for: fifteen years

My current handicap index or average score is: 90ish haven't posted a score in over a year

My typical ball flight is: High (ballooning)

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: trying to end the "flip"

I have been working with very small swings (1/4-1/2) for a couple weeks now. I still can't get to a good impact position with a full swing. I am open to any and all feedback.

You actually don't seem to flip that badly.. It looks like you don't make a full shoulder turn though which can cause issues (unless you have some sort of physical limitation that is). Edit: it looks better in your second video though.. First thing you should look at is your posture (too much of an s curve in your back) and key number one.. Take a look at the thread about the centered pivot.. I'll attach links to other information once I get a chance to get to a computer.. Good luck!

Thanks for the pointers. We are definitely working on more shoulder turn. I have never considered spine curve at address, maybe worth looking into.

  • 3 months later...

I have been a little lax in my practice as the weather is starting to be uncooperative quickly and I want to play....

Although I see improvement I am still having trouble with core rotation. I don't feel like I am getting my hips and shoulder open enough.

On the bright side I have been making much better ball contact with a fairly predictable flight.

I can still hit my 3w straighter and further than my driver (on average) and desperately need help with that...

Any help from you smart fellers would be greatly appreciated!
