  1. Shot 92 on a track I usually struggle with. 44-48 split. Was on pace for a 41-42 on front before a sloppy triple cost me a chance at my low 9. Played well but could not putt at all. Should have been an 87 or 88 if not for many 3 putts.
  2. Wow. I went back and watched some of my older, more on plane swings, and you can see how much lower my hands are now compared to then. It’s amazing what video and a trained eye can accomplish. Making this my primary focus along with more thought about proper grip becoming ingrained in my preshot routine.
  3. Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. I sometimes get sloppy with my grip so I’ll concentrate on that more at setup. I know the proper grip but sometimes it helps to go back and review fundamentals. Point 2 is something that I had an issue with way back on my first swing thread post so maybe it has crept back in. I’ll have to pay more attention to that. Thanks!!
  4. It’s been a while since I have posted a video. I have not had much practice time but I forced myself to get out to the range today to see what it looks like. I’ve been hitting my driver better than ever but am struggling with my irons (primary miss is fat shots). I had a bit of a regression in my scoring but do have my handicap down to an 18 and shot an 88 my last round. looking at my video was an eye opener. I feel like some of my OTT is coming back but I still think there is some improvement from where I was. My primary focus has moved on to trying to increase my lag and feel the back of my left hand facing the target at impact. After looking at this I may go back to my original focus of trying to shallow my downswing and keeping my head more steady. I would appreciate any feedback you all may have. Thanks!!
  5. Less golf, more poker!!! Or be like me, do a lot of both! Haven’t been around much but glad to see your still working on the swing. I need to get some video and update my thread.
  6. I dropped 60 pounds a few years ago and have kept it off entirely by focusing on diet. The most exercise I ever did during the weight loss was to walk a bit. It is definitely the largest factor in weight loss but I am sure that I would be healthier if I also exercised more than I do.
  7. I’m presently playing to an 18.6 but had been struggling with my irons and chipping which was hurting my scores. I played Raintree (North course) in Charlotte and put up my best round in over a year going 44-44 88. My driver was dialed in all day and my irons were crisp and around the green all day. I had one blow up when I hit a weak fade into a trap on a par 3 and took 2 getting out of the trap with the second barely getting to the top edge leading to a triple bogey six. I would have broke my personal best of 87 had I not snap hooked my drive on 18 OB but I’m not going to worry about it. It was a fun round of golf.
  8. I’ve slowed down a bit on my practice but I’m still working on my swing. I shot 88 last week and my handicap is coming back down but I’m kind of stuck for the last month or so and not really sure what my focus should be. Looking at my video I feel I may be getting a little flippy. My biggest miss with my irons is hitting fat shots. With the driver it’s a two way miss. Contact with my driver is the best it’s ever been but I’m still prone to spraying it.
  9. Stonebridge in Waxhaw NC 46-42: 88 I finally got back in the 80’s. It’s been a long time. Started out horribly with two triples in the first 6 holes but then went -1 over the next 7 holes. The best I’ve hit my irons in ages. All the hard work is starting to pay off.
  10. Are you kidding me? I’m in first place and did not get my alert this week. Another season torched because of failed reminders (I know it’s ultimately my fault but I’m pissed regardless)
  11. Got to the range yesterday. Felt like I was hitting things a little fat. Not sure where that came from.
  12. Day 77 light session just focused on tightening up some fundamentals from my early days with swing plane work.
