I wonder if they make more durable yarn.

Awful. Hate to see stuff not hold up.

It's more me being a bit rough sometimes taking the bag in and out of the trunk. When I commuted to the course by train more often, headcovers held up better because less transfering into and out of a messy trunk that also held an unwieldy push-cart. I guess I could get one of those fold up into a small space push-carts.

I don't think durable yarn will help, it's the nature of knitting where the yarn is basically held together by knots, leaving it susceptible to being pulled apart. This I gathered from the little knitting experience I have.

Those a pretty snazzy new headcovers.  Do you have the matching herringbone suit?

Better than the ski boot head covers you see nowadays.  Titleist had the best head covers ever.

I don't believe in product headcovers, whether ski boot style or otherwise.  Why do I want to advertise to the passersby outside the proshop what I'm packing?  While I'm in the grill.  So I go with generic headcovers.  Steal that driver and it's a crapshoot.  Your Epic Sub-Zero could be gone in 90 seconds.  Make that 9 seconds.

Has anyone here ever had anything stolen out of his/her bag?

Ha ha. I have a houndstooth suit though. Close enough?

Was also looking at houndstooth patterns for the headcovers. I got this pattern because it was cheaper.

I go for function. I’ve got these Boston Red Sox covers, but I got them because they are easy to get on and off. If they were generic, I would be just as happy.

You're advertising Bill Buckner with those Red Sox covers.  Nobody's going to touch those to steal what's underneath!

    • If the Hall of Fame is about honoring the greatest players based on what they did between the lines, then Pete Rose — the all-time hits leader — belongs in it.
    • Hard to see in the video, what is your miss? Is it slice? One thing that I am sure someone will shoot me down about, but it works for me.... if I was looking at your grip for me... Your trail hand looks to me to not be over your lead thumb enough. I am not saying it is "too strong" I am saying the feel I would be getting from having my trail hand where you have it is I am using the right hand to muscle the club through like an off-side shot in cricket and that causes all sorts of problems. It probably makes zero sense to a pro coach, but that feeling makes me stand up to release the club (or chicken wing). It tells my brain the club isn't going to ready in time, so start extending early and/or chicken wing). By having it more on top I find it makes me pull through the ball with the lead hand, and my brain says "yeah well the face is ready for that, go for it". If my hand is open, it tells my brain the face is open, then I stand up and it sure as hell opens up when you do that! My absolute biggest issue at the moment is standing up/back off the ball at impact. When I change my grip it allows my brain to "stay down". It may mean you have to go a bit stronger on the lead hand as well. I also - cue more howling - have my lead thumb on the right side of the grip, not on top and snugly beside the lead index finger like so many people teach. It just does not work for me.  Sorry for the long-winded confusing-as-hell response, but it works for me. Grip is so underrated and hardly gets discussed in the detail it deserves IMO. There is an amazing link between brain and hands/fingers.
    • I would vote no. He never showed any remorse and no way did he start gambling only after playing. There was never any evidence that Shoeless Joe took any money from what I have heard and his stats for the World Series showed that. Rose on the other hand place bets on the team he was managing. Probably did the same as a player.
    • Day 225 - 2025-05-13 Got downtown early before lessons, did a little work. Wrists are still solid.
    • Okay, so, Rob Manfred lifted the ban on Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson, and like 15 others. They're eligible for the HOF in three years. Should Pete be in? Shoeless Joe? The Baseball HOF does have a morality clause that I and others use to not vote for Barry Bonds, for example. He cheated, everyone knows it. Pete did his gambling, AFAIK, after he was done as a player. As a manager. Gambling can be a sickness, an illness, like alcoholism, so I'm inclined to still vote "yes" for Pete. But, what gives me pause is the under-age girl stuff…  The Pete Rose Legacy Problem Is Sex with a Child, Not Gambling Plus, a Main Line school district plummets in latest rankings.
