Wedges (Lofts, Bounce & Grind)?

I think many high handicap players have more issue with fat and thin than left/right of center hits. In that case, more bounce would be more forgiving. Left/right misses are more common on longer clubs with full swings than wedges with partial and short game swings, aren't they?

Agree. Getting the ball up in the air and flying the right distance is what most higher handicappers would be happy with. More bounce and a fuller sole.

100% agree. Vokey SM6 58-12 K grind is absolutely money out of the sand, and around the green in general. I got mine about a year about and it honestly has made world of difference in my chipping and greenside bunker game. Tbh probably the biggest equipment-related improvement I have experienced.

After your recommendations I am now thinking of the following:

48-10, F Grind (For shots from 100-120 yards or so outside the green)
54-08, M Grind (For chipping and short pitching around the green - this will be my main wedge to use probably 80% of the time)
58-14, K Grind (For bunker shots)

Can you use the 58K for lob shots from the rough close to the green as well? And do you use your 54M for chipping as well?

The SM6 K grind came with 12* of bounce. The K grind out of the rough works great.

I've been looking into getting a wedge more in line with these characteristics. My current 60 degree wedge is a Vokey with 8 degrees of bounce, and I've never really liked how it interacts with the ground regardless of the lie. Will be a fun opportunity to test some things out because I've never hit with a wedge above 12 degrees of bounce I think?
