I just joined this week and still unfamiliar with much of the site. I live in the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis/Saint Paul) and frequent my university's course, Les Bolstad. I played competitively in high school and am looking to really take my game to the next level. I'm an 11 handicap and consistently shoot in the mid-80'sCant seem to break that dreaded benchmark so I'm trying to exercise any and all options lol. Hoping to use this blog for tips, advice, and knowledge that will help me break 80. Cheers!

Recently graduated college and moved out to the West coast for work. I played golf competitively in high school and absolutely love the game. However, my involvement fell off a bit throughout the past few years and I'm now looking to jump back in. I've got a lot more free time on the weekends and courses are more accessible now.  I'm roughly a 12 or 13 handicap and hover in the 80s (on a good day). I'd love to taste the 70's by the end of the summer so I've got some ground to cover lol. I love to talk golf and learn from others so I'm excited to see what this site has to offer!

Welcome to the madhouse.  The doctors here can be brusque, at times, but they have a lot of other patients to deal with.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

    • Day 562, May 17, 2024 Spent a LOT of time on GEARS stuff today, so while waiting for imports, exports, and all manner of things, I did some rehearsals in the mirror and camera in my basement.
    • Day 16 (17 May 24) - Plans to play a local course with a good friend fell through, got with my son to play Minnesott.  Turned out to be a great day of golf - as we were playing behind the Friday Men's group, pace was steady but not rushed or dreadfully slow.  Had a solid day of ball striking - managing 11 of 14 fairways hit, 8 GIR and 5 nGIR, 27 putts (including a hole out chip in from just off the green to save par with the 56deg wedge).  Shot a new personal best of 76 (39 front / 37 back) from the gold tees (just over 5,500 yds).   Was a good day and my son had a decent day for him as well with an 88.
    • Day 312: Chipped for a bit indoors off my mat. Working on good contact and direction.
    • Day 142: 5/17/24 Stack Full Speed Spectrum training session 13/24. Matched Wednesday’s speed. At lest I didn’t regress.
    • They can't dance either...😂
