Like others I played golf many years ago, stopped to take up another sport but have now been back playing golf since March.

I joined Didsbury Golf Club (UK) in March and have been practicing hard since. My first round for handicap purposes, I shot a 103, then 93 followed by 85. Didsbury is a par 70. So they gave me a handicap of 13, ive only played in comps about 10 times as at the moment I prefer to practice but already im down to a handicap of 11 with a best score of 76 gross..

Although playing golf seems to be as frustrating as ever im enjoying being back and because of my age, golf will be long term for me....

Very happy to meet you all....

Welcome to TST. Lots of good folks on here. Alot of good golf knowledge too.

Frustration come in two forms. One is a good kind of frustration. Where one learns from their mistakes. The other is also known as self pity. The owner of the frustration needs to decide which one applies to them.

Congrats on quickly dropping your scores. Shows some natural ability for this crazy game. I would expect even lower scores in your future golf journey.
