Which has nothing to do with your initial broad and all encompassing statement that walkers and riders don't mix well.

Dude you titled the post in a way that suggests you think there is one single answer and said it as though it were a fact.

And you closed your initial post with this line which very much reads like a single answer and something you believe to be a fact

Well, I’m going to disagree as that’s my prerogative.  There is no single answer and on that day it’s what I experienced.  I’m not trying to say this is 100% all the time on all courses.

play well!

To whomever it was who thought I was condescending to my particular "Fred" I say, Yes, I was...so what? The guy deserved a lot worse. Maybe if the golf course rangers had been a bit more on the ball I wouldn't have had to say anything but the one who was circulating that particular day typically does and says nothing so I felt I had to take matters into my own hands. Also, maybe if "Fred" hadn't been sucking down his second beer of the morning I would have been a lot nicer but regardless, I believe my solution worked out.

The main point I was trying to make was that like many others, it's my contention that riders and walkers can mix well or not mix but whether they do or don't has nothing to do with if they're riding or walking. It has to do do with whether or not a golfer understands what the concept of "Keeping up with the Pace of Play" actually means and makes an effort to do so.

My wife and I walk with push carts. We have a rule...keep up to the folks in front of us..thats our job.

We do not turn around...we don't care about pace of play of the people behind us. That's their job. They want to play through...ask...but don't hit into me thinking your gonna speed me up...It's gonna slow your game down some
