Hello everyone! I'm relatively new to the game and was curious if anyone could help me with my swing. I tend to have trouble powering through and putting my weight on my front foot. I know even from this video that my weight is mostly on my back foot, so I'm curious if there are any training methods you might recommend to help? I'm not sure what else to put here so any questions, just ask!

I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year
My current handicap index or average score is: about 20 over...only a few rounds on 9-hole courses to go off of right now
My typical ball flight is: Slice to the right...not dramatic, but enough to land me in the woods three times in a row
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: aforementioned slice.

You will have to give us better camera angles.

I apologize. I was only able to get the one camera angle earlier this week, and of course will work on providing the right info.
But I figured that one camera angle is better than absolutely nothing.

I simply hoped that there would be people nice enough to want to help me.

Greetings, It's great that you decided to post your swing. It's a really good idea in terms of getting feedback and it does sometimes take a little courage.

The reason the camera angles are so important is that most of the folks on this forum want to give you the best advice possible. Without the proper angles they may give you "bad" advice. Nobody wants to see you start working on something that turns out to not even be a problem. So, believe it or not the "Nice" people are the people who refrain from giving you advice until they see your swing from the correct angles in order to make the correct assessments.

It really does make a difference. Hang in there and I think you will find its worth the extra effort.

Like I said, I will add a second angle sometime this weekend or next week when I have the opportunity to do so.
I am getting married in 8 days, so forgive me if my brain is multitasking until then, haha!

The wedding is far more important unless you are playing the wedding party for hard cash in a pre-nuptials tournament.

Congrats!

    • Day 233: did a stack session.
    • Failed to hit “done” on yesterday’s post - so we start over as that’s two missed posts in the last couple of weeks.   Day 1 (9 Mar 25) - Some 50° wedge fun this afternoon in the backyard.  Worked on making smooth swings with good torso rotation - really zeroing in where I wanted the ball to land AND then making sure I watched the ball leave before looking up as the swing finished.  The latter focal point is one that has begun to pay as I’m seeing better green side accuracy - more up and downs made.
    • Just had a club event and played 5 nine hole matches. Shot 39-36-37-35-40. Just a really good weekend of golf even though the last 9 was a struggle to swing the club the last 5 holes. The highlight was a turkey to cap off a match for a tie.
    • Day 160 - 2025-03-09 Got some work in after a long day. Only about 15 minutes and only about 21 golf balls, but… They were focused on the backswing with a pause, then a decent bit on the downswing.
    • This weekend I knocked off #10...a short 375 yard par 4....hit a hooky 4 wood that found the sand left leaving 165 into the wind. I hit 6 iron to 2 feet and tapped it in. All I have left is a par 3 that has been tricky this year.
