Just found the forum...

I have been out of golf for over 20 years due to kids, life, etc...  My daughter has now graduated from college and my son is in his third year so I am now finding some more time to play and practice.

I began playing back in the mid-90's and got down to a 3 before I stopped playing around 2000 or so...  after a couple of years of playing I joined the local club and would hit 80-100 balls on the range then walk at least nine holes - everyday unless the course was covered in snow.  I played for the first time in 20 years back in June and realized just how much I missed being out at the course.  I have only had the opportunity to play a handful of rounds since but have been beating balls at the range on a consistent basis for the past couple of months.  I enjoy practicing every bit as much as being on the course...

Anyway, I am glad I found this forum of like minded folks!!!

Welcome to The Sand Trap!  I'm another Virginian, living not far from Washington DC.  This is a great place to talk golf, and if you're not careful you'll end up learning a bunch of stuff.
