Graeme Mcdowell is such a great player. He played soo well at Southern Hills....Man can that guy hit irons....i think he will finish in the top 10 this week because he plays well on long courses

didn't you just say that the par fours and fives are short?!?

bart bryant, tiger only beat him cuz they were never paired together during the bay hill, think tiger will get a little shaky around bart's charisma if they get matched up

Greetings ....

Other than reigning British Open champion Padraig Harrington, who intentionally chose not to play, Steve Flesch is the only 2007 PGA Tour Top 30 Money winner not in this week's WGC CA-Doral Invitational field.

Why?

Because, beginning 2008, the PGA Tour has chosen to recognize the Top 30 off the previous year's Fed Ex Cup Points List instead.

If the Top 30 Money Winners were being recognized, Flesch would be the only one among them who had not already qualified through other means.

Flesch did not qualify for the WGC Accenture Match Play, but is qualified for the WGC Bridgestone Invitational - as well as for the Masters, Players Championship, US Open and PGA Championship.

Thanx-A-Lot, Frank-0-Sport

didn't you just say that the par fours and fives are short?!?

The course has some of the longest par 3's on tour all year...a player like mcdowell should do good...hes one of the best middle iron players ive seen i a while

I'd like to see a final day shoot out, even if Tiger bags it between a few players.

Kaymer looking good. Imo I think he has the potential to be the greatest European golfer ever.

This tournament is over. Every time Tiger opens with a good round-his confidence grows and the torunament writes its champion...the torunament engraver is already putting tigers name into the trophy as we speak

Looking at the board at the moment, it appears Imada and O'Hern are both in the top-10. Either the week off helped them or they've effectively channeled their anger into inspired golf -- or both.
Imada's driving accuracy and GIR are both north of 80% at the moment. O'Hern has had some great scrambling moments.

Remember that Doral plays short. 4 of the par 4's are under 400--the par 5's are cupcakes. The wind is not supposed to be more than 10 mph this week. Today it is blowing-it will die down. I expect something like 22 under to win this thing. Remember most of the Par 5's are downwind--thats why you see scores over 20 under winning every year

this was your exact quote........

And im exactly right about today....anytime you need analysis---just ask--the results speak for themselves

what i'm saying is that you said the course plays short in you first post.....and in you second post you said graeme would win because he plays well on long courses.....i do agree with the fact that the winning score will be low....but you really enjoy contradicting yourself

I said the par 3's are long which Grame will be eating because hes such a great long player. The par 3's play long because they are long...

    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
