@iacas thoughts on the Knit II?

Very comfortable shoe but, I am not a favor of the high back. It will take my lower ankle time to adjust. I am not sure I would wear them golfing or at least not 18.

Overall super comfortable and good looking. I just don’t like the higher back as it can irritate the back of my ankles if wearing low socks.

The Original still is the Champ in my eyes.

The Original is a very good shoe. Not the best in hot weather, as it can get a little sweaty (that's just logical - if you want a waterproof leather shoe).

And of the Knits, the original is a very good shoe, too.

I see what you mean about the higher back, but it's pretty soft IMO. Do you wear a sock that goes up that high, or is it rubbing skin? I don't like a high back, either, but if I'm being specific I don't like a high back that's more solid or firmer. These are like socks, very "huggy" without digging in or rubbing much.

The Knits are some of my favorite shoes. I wear them everywhere. Teaching. Playing, when it's at least half dry. Errands. Going out to do anything. They're the first shoe I grab, and the only shoes that I generally have inside the house. The old Knit "I" models will likely be relegated strictly to errand shoes, though, or teaching maybe, as I've worn the tread away.

These are the replacements, in spirit, for the original Sensei shoes, which I also loved. Perhaps even more than the Tours.

For golf, the Originals win. For everything, the Knits and the Knit Its win, for me, hands down.

Funny you say that, I wore them during a summer round, thought the waterproofing was crap, it wasn’t. My feet were sweating that much.

As for the Knit II, i wear a real low cut sock. Very comfortable shoe. I wear to the office and errands. Got them during Christmas so no golf in them.

The small stitching in the back pull rubs my lower ankle.

I get a little of the rubbing from the LUX Knits, but there's an actual "bump" in those shoes.

A friendly email from the good people at True.  The side profile of the shoe in the email looks like a new knit. Of course they didn’t say so. 53EA8A32-F550-44CE-A27A-4F6DC159C230.thumb.png.de0324b9b1ac362d34ce19527e089205.png

No. Just the teaser banner. Any feedback on these yet? Looks like they addresses the heel rub from prior ii’s. New treads also.

    • Since bowling season is starting soon. I'm going to transition into off-season golf stuff. I plan on trying to play a few more times this year. 1. Going to set up a hitting are in my house to actually hit some "foam" balls. Got to not let the winter make me rusty and set me back for next year.  2. I got to get into my post season workout. Got to lose some weight and start strength training again. This past year was the best physically I felt playing golf. I did about 4 months of strength training before hand. Specifically, squats and deadlifts.
    • Day 105 (26 Sep 23) - Monthly church men’s 9 hole super ball event.  Was fun being the fairway finder guy off the tee, really opens up for the big guns to let it rip….and we would still play my ball more times than not as theirs would be lost to the woods and water…
    • Day 144 - Played 18 holes.  Did a better job of committing to my priority piece with irons and hit some really high quality mid/long iron shots. Doing a partial practice swing feeling the left side bend before stepping up to the ball helped a lot. Driver was hot/cold, hit some really really good drive with multiple of them going 300+yd and also some really poor snap hook/toe balls. Waiting on my new shaft to arrive so looking forward to cleaning up those misses.  Putting remained very solid, this stretch since getting the Evolvr putting lesson is without a doubt the best I've ever putted (Shoutout to you @iacas), making so many more 5-20 footers than I ever have and feels like every miss is burning an edge or hitting a lip. Crazy how much easier putting has become when I already had good speed and reads and now I got the bead portion taken care of too.
    • Got about 3 months left.
