Lately, I'm very much enjoying driving the ball in the fairway. You see, for many years, I simply did NOT swing the golf club correctly. I wouldn't say that I have a great game, but at least now I understand the proper swing. Its completely changed my game. I'm rarely slicing the driver, and plopping a nice 270 yard drive right in the fairway is awesome for me.

Also, if I'm chipping really well, I luv that. Because if you're chipping well, you've just made up for a short shot, or a bad approach, or your first chip that you bladed across the green!!

You know, I just love the entire game really, but right now, I'm digging the long stick. . . . .and the short sticks!!

I voted approach shots. I like any shot where I'm looking to hit onto the green at distance. To me nothing beats a 150 yard shot from the fairway onto the green. I think my least favorite is teeing off, because I'm having so much trouble with it right now.

Tee shots - the ball is clean, the lie is perfect, absolute precision (as with a putt) is unnecessary, everyone has the same shot, and I hit a excellent tee shot on 16 or 17 holes every round (why is it that there is always one poor shot?).

I still putt by feel and find it easy, but boring.

Approach shots are my weakness and I don't like my weak area, which is natural for most people.

One of my major pet peeves is playing with people who do not watch other people's tee shots. I probably see only about 1/3 of my tee shots and while I can guess within a 30 foot circle where my ball lies, I really appreciate it when someone watches my tee shots. I ALWAYS watch everyone else's tee shots and frequesntly am the only person who knows where everyones' balls lie.

I like it all. Who doesn't love to rip a drive 300 down the middle? Who doesn't get excited when you knock one stiff? Or how about throwing a lob wedge to within two feet from a difficult spot? And who doesn't love draining a big sweeping breaker for birdie? I love it all.

I voted for teeing off... but really it is whatever I do well in that day. I also enjoy a challenge. If I play a course with especially tough greens and I putt well... then putting wins. If I hit numerous great shots into a bunch of little, well protected greens... then approach. Also, I always take great joy in hitting an amzing chip, flop, or sand shot... but these also tend to frustrate me the most when I fail.

I will say this though... it sure does feel good to smoke a drive 30 yds past your competitor.

I voted for approach shots, but I love all of it.

Nothing like hitting a solid and straight tee shot to set up a great hole.

Nothing like hitting that nice iron near the stick.

Nothing like a nicely pinched pitch shot that checks up within the leather.

Nothing like a chip shot that winds its way near the hole.

And last but not least, nothing like the look on your opponents face when you drain that 15 footer for bird or to save par.

As off target as my approach shots are, I have to say pitching and chipping. If you are gonna do a lot of it, you might as well smile and call it your favorite.

i love hitting a perfect drive...from the feeling of hitting it so pure that the movement just feels natural.
I also like hitting a perfect short iron shot that you see the ball hit & check.

BUT to me the best part of the game is just being out there.
sunny, gorgeous scenery, the smell of freshly cut grass... and a sexy cart girl coming by every 3 holes to get you drunk!

I love chipping it is the best part of my game, i like it so much because approach shots are the worst part so I'm always off the green.

Approach shots are the best because you have to really analyze your shot your about to hit and figure out how the green will react, and where the pin is. The excitement watching an approach shot go close is much more exciting then any other shot. Smoking drives 300 yards straight down the fairway is also exciting too though.

I love putting - as long as the greens are fast and true!
That said, there is nothing like hitting a great tee shot, making a nice approach or a stellar chip!
