can someone break it down for me, stiff shafts vs regular shafts. i'm in my 20's and i know stiff shafts are typically for older players. but, i have a opportunity to buy a 3w for a very good price, but its a stiff shaft, yay or nay?

well, first off, whoever told you stiff shafts are for older players, they were a little off. If you have a moderately high swing speed then a stiff shaft should work just fine.

Dont listen to what you have been told.

Typically > the slower the swing the more flex. ie. fast swing > stiffer the flex. if you have a quick swing > it may be a good option.....................

      Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.

      Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.

      Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.

      Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣

      Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
