A small plate on the bottom of my FT-3 has come off. I can't find it to replace it. Do you think it will effect the weighting of the club?

Very same thing happened to me... Here is how it went.

Pro Shop repair guy says, "This could be hard to get.. but try calling Callaway". I call Callaway and get a service rep on line... he says, "I got one sitting here on my desk, what is your address, and I'll send you two just in case". 2 Days later I get both with a little personal thank you for choosing Callaway note... Pro shop guy feels guilty for charging me $3.00 to fix it... it just needed a little epoxy... Later sold the club to a friend with spare chevron part... (which he still has not used). Top Notch Customer service... crap, I almost sound like I work for them.

No just an example, most of the big clubmakers send you back new clubs if ya break one. Ping sent me a new G2 no questions asked. Callaway is the best though.

Starting to worry. Sent club back over a week ago. Know it got there. Callaway rep said five days tops. Others dittoed quick turnaround time.

Update: 6 business days now. No club. Disappointed.

If Callaway is the best then some of these companies must really suck. Rep and others told me 5 business day turnaround. 6 business days later, no club. And I know it got there in 2 days. Maybe I'm impatient but don't tell me something is going to happen if you know it might not.

I doubt that it is callaway's fault that it is late...Besides, from NC to CA, should be at least 3 days before they get it (unless of course you/they sent it express or overnight).

STILL waiting

What a disappointment. Looks like I'm going to have to call Callaway and find out what happened. Who said they were the best? Update: Called. Shipped today (thursday). Will arrive monday. Two full weeks.

Wawawa are you a whiner, you got a new driver on the way be happy, if you didn't send it back then you would have nothing. You sound like a spoiled little kid with zero patience. Be happy for the advice instead of that "I want it now attitude"

In the future bring your broken club to a Golf Retailer and have them send it back, you would pay zero shipping and a faster turnaround cause the club company will kiss their butt.

First off, yeah, you are a whiner. Seriously. What do you want? To call Callaway on the phone and have them immediately airlift a new driver to you? Second off, when most companies talk about "turnaround time" they are talking in terms of "days in house" which sounds about right. They get the club, takes them 4-6 business days before they send out a replacement. I work at a golf store and almost every club that is ever sent back is right around the two week timeframe to get it back. Factor in shipping a couple days there, shipping a couple days back, weekends, and the typical turnaround time, two weeks. You were saying in another post how you didn't miss your driver because you were bombing your 3 wood off the tee. Are you just spoiled and immature or what?

I hate to say it, but he's right. Your club was out of warranty, Callaway was nice enough to send you a free club, they could have told you to buy a new one.

Point taken. Here's my beef: don't tell me I'll have it in 5 days if it's not going to happen. If they tell me two weeks upfront, I'm good. I'm leaving for a trip this weekend with no driver. I'll live but would rather have had it. Might have held off sending it had I known. Does that make sense?

And I do not know that I'm getting a new club.

Makes total sense, and it's a tough spot because I'd probably be griping too even though I know I've got no grounds to do so.

Hey, look at the bright side, I know that if I put my driver down from time to time and just hit my 3 wood, I'd probably score better

It has helped some to be without it because I have a new 3 metal and I'm putting in some quality time using it. But I feel like I'm swinging better and am anxious to see if my work is paying off or it's just the club. I think it's the former. Off to play FL . sSee ya.

I hit so many range balls and hit it hard not showing off just saying I have a high swing speed that I break many club faces, that's how I know about club returns.
I have sent a bunch back and been left with no driver which I hate. Therefore, I now have a back-up driver at all times, I have two drivers of the same type ready to go so when I break the face I send one back and here comes the back-up.

Tiger said his drivers have a thicker face than usual because he is afraid of crashing the face in on a round and having no driver.

Nice! Might have to consider that. (The backup driver, not the tiger driver)
