The problem with golf tournaments on TV

I rarely watch golf on TV, but did tune in for a bit of coverage of the Masters. My 2 1/2 year old son watched with me for parts of it. The problem now is that every time he swings his plastic golf club he starts clapping, and demands that we applaud as well! (He is making some fantastic swings, though... )

Pretty funny.....My guess is there will soon be a day when you long for moments like that. That's a cute age.

Absolutely, I'm just hoping that he doesn't start beating me until he is at least 12.

Lol it depends on how much he likes it. I started beating my dad at 14 (16 now)

Id say 5 years old is the perfect age, Get him on the range for a year or two. But hey, your the father. Bring him into golf any way youd like

that is a little to late i say this because a couple years ago i was playing in a tournament and was in the age bracket of 12 and under. i was pared up with a six year old his name was tiger (no kidding i would say his last name but i dont want to post something on the web without there permission) he was amazing averaging 130 of the tee and playing double bogey golf he posted a 62. i cant imagine him in 5 years he will be dominating the junior golf world.

But we arent talking about his Son Dominating the junior golf world. Kids have a short attention span and any sooner he would be bored out of his mind.

At this age hes got some patience in him and Can stand around watching his father hit the ball and trying to learn the fundamentals of it.

I can tell you one thing, 13 months is not the proper age.

My wife bought him a plastic golf set. All he wants to do is hold the club from the shaft and my Lab ate all the golf balls. Oh well, maybe next year.
