I agree. NCAA does not go easier on the school just because the HC fled to the NFL. It could be worse with how UM has handled it.

Well, things are moving at a faster pace now. With the unwillingness of the NCAA to have any sort of leadership, leaving things up to schools and conferences, it looks like the B10 and the SEC are joining forces.

The SEC and Big Ten, two of the top conference in college athletics, are joining forced with a committee set to address issues and the future.

I think in the end, schools are going to break football away from athletics, and make them employees of a sports entity owned and run by the schools or maybe the conferences as a whole. Which means, they don't have to be tied to the school for academics and would not be given a scholarship. I think this will be a way for them to skirt the Title XI requirements.
