I'm looking to get a set of muscle back irons. Something solid with in the price range of 250 to 450. They can be used but not overused. I heard mizuno irons are nice. also pings and ideas would be swell thanks.

My dad has a set of these, and they are sooooooo easy to hit. It looks like you may have to replace the grips, but these are great clubs.

Those looks pretty beat, I wouldn't bother with those if you have up to $450 to spend. Look into getting a good used set of Mizuno blades or muscle backs.

Here is a couple of nice examples: http://www.globalgolf.com/product/go...p-32.aspx?gd=3 http://www.globalgolf.com/product/go...x-50.aspx?gd=3

I'll second the nomination of the Hogan Apex. I've got a nice set of Apex Grinds (90-92 vintage). No, I'm not selling them. Just too sweet.
