Hi All,

I was looking at this driver. I wasn't realy too impressed with the shaft options so I went to pings site to get more info. This shaft in a stiff has 4.1 degrees of torque, which seems to be alot. I am only swinging at about 104 so I'm not sure if this shaft will work. Anybody have experience with this combo. .

thanks

I had a demo with one on the range - 9 deg with the TFC shaft. Felt OK to me - not as still or board like as my YS6+ is

I quite liked it.

I think the Proforce V2 will launch too high for me (esp for when I return to UK as wind will kill it) so I am getting a session on a launch monitor to fit up with either the TFC or the ProLaunch red shafts

4.1 shaft torque is high. Youll be spraying the ball all around imho. I like the lowest torque stock for any driver.

I have the G10 and I was pretty impressed with the stock shaft. With a swing speed of 104 you should be fine. Ball flight was more of a mid flight for me. My swing speed is slightly less than 104, and I didn't have any problems whatsoever. However, I am going to the V2 for a little less torque and slightly higher launch.

I had that exact shaft last year and was spraying the ball left and right after always being dead straight with my R7 TP. I got fitted and bought a Grafalloy ProLaunch Red and it's absolutely lethal. My swing speed was 106 and improved to 108 with the Red. Even with a 108 swing speed I went with the Regular Flex because of my slower tempo and really do not regret it.
Hope this helps!

Thanks I'll try it with the prolaunch this weekend

Some pros play high-torque drivers. It's not entirely true at all that "high torque = spraying the ball" or that "lower torque = better."

Depends on a lot of factors, really, and personal preferences.
