Love to hit the links? Find out which local golf scenes are up to par in this ranking of the Best Cities for Golfers.

Where does your city rank?  Do you agree or disagree?  What cities are missing from this list?

SL UT came in at #50 overall, #4 public.  I think those are fair.  A lot of access to affordable quality public golf in SLC area.  Most years, you can golf about 10 months out of the year.

Rochester NY #10 overall, #36 public, #5 premium.  I think that’s fair as well, but the colder months definitely get in the way.

Surprised to not see much ranked higher from SC, Myrtle Beach area.

Lists are fun but it is hard to take some of this stuff seriously. Los Angeles ranks in the top ten but on a "per capita" basis there are few public access courses. Also, it costs an arm & a leg to play.  I can't see myself saying, "Let's go to LA for a fun golf weekend." They also like to rate towns that are virtually the same (Phoenix and Peoria, AZ).

Lived in Columbus for 30 years and have been in Buffalo the past 3. Even though I would have an extra 4 to 6 weeks of playing weather in Columbus, it ranks a little lower than Buffalo in that category😀. That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Sure, it’s just a made up list, thought it would be fun to chat about.

I do think a list by County would make more sense than City (the Phoenix/Scottsdale/Peoria thing).  Which would then lump together the Myrtle Beach area.

That is odd they gave Columbus a worse climate ranking than Buffalo.  Tornadoes maybe?  They at least got BUF vs ROC correct, BUF does get hit a little harder in the winter.
