Refinishing Irons

Dabbling in the possibility of having my irons refinished in black. I have a set of Nike VR Split Cavity irons that I am thinking of having refinished in black. Couple questions with this… who are your recommendations to have this done, for those who have gone from a “chrome” or standard finish to black how does it hold up over time? My thoughts with the clubs (see attached picture) is to go black finish, the Nike swoosh/r logo I am thinking red with the Nike swoosh and the “r” at the end in white, the red line in the middle having done white, and the black swoosh in red. Looking for thoughts, would love to see a proof of this beforehand too but most importantly I want to know who you recommend to have something like this done and how well it has held up over moderate use.

The first part is subjective and the second depends on the process, but I’m not aware of any process to color chrome that will stand up to the wear of being used as a golf club.

I guess my thought was this process would involve stripping the original finish off and putting a new one on the raw material. I think it’s been decided my idea of how I want it to look will be amazing and i love it. It now comes down to if someone can do this, what the cost will be and I’d like to hear input for those who have black irons, on how well they’ve stood the test of time

Well I can’t tell you where to get it done but I did used to have black wedges and they don’t stay black forever.
