Hey fellow golfers,

I wanted to take a moment to express how much I've enjoyed being a part of this fantastic forum! The discussions, insights, and camaraderie here have been truly invaluable.

Now, I'm excited to kick off my "My Swing" thread - while I don't have the actual video to share just yet, I'm sharing a link of a video taken during my recent lesson as a starting point. Please bear with me as I work towards capturing and uploading higher quality images using my own camera in the near future.

Looking forward to sharing my progress and learning from you all soon!

How much do you think you turn, and how much is the right elbow bent at the top? How much wrist hinge (versus folding the right wrist back)?

Have you always had a flatter or shallower swing?

Turn: I turn about 70% of what I could physically do (not confident turning fully yet)
Right Elbow Bent at Top: Uncertain. Good question, I will try to be more intentional about this.
Wrist:
 - Hinge: Uncertain. I try to have fairly relaxed wrists and let the club/swing ‘hinge my wrist’
 - Folding Wrist: Used to fold a bit too much (part of my shallow swing); training to get to a slight bend now.

I’ve had a too shallow swing for some time which caused lots of miss-hits. I’ve been working with my coach on improving the right attack angle since last month.

Will share a link to my videos, soon.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
