I liked the response that said something to the effect of "You mean, like, a PGA Tour card?"

I'm with that guy. You're not there competing for a trophy. Or the win. You're there competing to qualify. It'd be like handing out trophies at a PAT — that's not the point.

He was so excited about that trophy it looked like he didn't make it to the restroom.

I actually didn't know there was a trophy for Q-school. I assumed (incorrectly) that you were just competing for a PGA Tour card. 

BTW - If anyone wants a good golf book. I might suggest "Tales From Q-School" by John Feinstein.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I believe it was Ben Crenshaw who mentioned that some of the players on tour would complain about everything including the free food.  I'm sure there are plenty of players with a high level of entitlement.
