This was a joke -

I wouldn't buy a putter sergio used, its obviously bad or else he would be a better putter, he seems to keep finding the bad ones in the bunch

Not exactly. Price is contingent on supply, but that is not why a SC cost more than an Anser. If there will equal Ansers produced to SC produced, the SC would still cost more, so quantity is not the factor of value in this situation, it is the name.

I should have clarified. Supply is a factor in determining value/price, but not the only factor.

If there were an equal number between the two, there would be a price drop in Camerons. But, you are correct, they would still be more expensive.

I think Camerons are the real deal! I picked up the old Studio Stainless with out the insert off of ebay a few years back for $150. I have not been able to keep it out of my bag for more than 2 weeks since I bought it. If my stroke is not up to par, I will switch for a week to a more forgiving putter with alignment aids (mallet style), then when my confidence is back up and are rolling it good again, I switch back.

Who are we kiking here, all retail items are hyped.
Would you pay less for the same putter quality and materials but didn't have the Scotty name on it? More then likely yes it would be cheaper, you are paying for the name, as you do with every branded items.

For golf equipement, to me it's not who makes it or what it's made of if it gets the job done better then another then that is all you can ask for. I don't care if your putter is a tree branch, if it makes putts who cares?

I have a older Newport 2.0 (but I bought it new)because I wanted a blade putter (coming from an 2ball). I looked at all the anser style putters and they all pretty much felt the same but the weight and the feel of the putter in my hand is why I bought it. I looked at the Ping and Odyssey and they just didn't feel right to me. The price for a Scotty isn't all that much different from the putters of equal quality and materials from other manufactures.

As for the actual price of a putters. You think spending $200-$300 on a piece of equipement that you will use on almost 50% of your strokes on is bad but most are willing to spend $400-$500 on a driver that you will only use 15% of the strokes on?

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
