Just went back to a titleist players 4 stand bag for the first time in years. I previously had a full 14 divider cart bag which kept the shafts separate and didn’t tangle etc.

Is there a chance that the steel iron shafts will scratch up more in the stand bag being against each other when walking on the course and is this completely normal/to be expected for a stand bag? Noticed my putter shaft has a couple of new scratches and I want to keep my clubs as good condition as possible. The putter was kept in the top along with driver, 3w and hybrid but was a bit of a tight fit

Uh, gosh buddy…you just kinda feel like chatting? Don’t mean to be harsh but do you really think anyone is going to say this isn’t normal?

    • Day 17: worked with foam balls for a solid 15 minutes. Working on twist and roll and getting my arms down instead of cross early in the backswing. Filmed a bit as well to check how it looks. Twist is happening, not sure I got the roll part yet.
    • Day 6, April 14 2026.   I know I sound like a broken mp3, but the same practice routine.  However, I was able to get a full hour in, plus a few more short segments, during an afternoon working from home.
    • Day 37 (Apr 14 2026) - More of the same drill using real balls today with Divit Board - stayed w/Pw and Gw - hitting 50-60 yd shots working on more consistent ball first contact.  Divot Board does make a great alignment tool as well.
    • Golf practice goal achieved!  I was able to exaggerate the extension of the right wrist, straightening of the right arm down to the right pocket move at decent speed, and I repeated it 😊.  The direction of the club head felt totally different, which is good. Way more behind and underneath the hands, and it still hit the ball solid.
