Hi all,

I wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the tech support forum;  I figured here might be better because I don't know if the answer might expose something that isn't meant to be seen by everyone (so spammers can't circumvent it, that sort of thing).

Some of my comment replies aren't showing up.  My last two (yesterday + day before) on the 5 minutes thread aren't visible in that conversation, but they appear in my profile.  

On the other hand, if I did something wrong in those posts, please let me know so I don't do that again.

I see that. Not sure what the cause is (it's not a setting or anything).

I'll rebuild the search index. It'll take awhile.

Well, the search was rebuilt, but there is something weird going on.

At one time, 12 consecutive posts in this topic were not visible. Now it's down to nine, with these post IDs:

1633656

If you move the post to another topic, it shows up just fine.

Originally, it was like 12 posts, but I deleted two earlier in a topic from a user whose email was causing issues… and it somehow reduced the missing count to 9.

So, I don't know. It's seemingly a bug in IPS or something.

Thanks!  I see my two now.  Evidently for day 4, I had been counting correctly, I just mistakenly saw the previous as day 2 and knew I was on day 4.

      Doing a bit of googling, it takes like 15 seconds to determine a ball or strike. I am sure they are running it at every pitch to accelerate the potential challenge. Especially since they have to create a graphic display for TV and the stadium big screen. Imagine a pitch thrown, that takes under half a second to reach home plate. Then wait 15 seconds for a call to be made. That would kill the watchability of the game.

      Full ABS is too slow. That's another part of it.

      Yep. Well at least the bad umpires really. I think overturns are at 50/50 right now, with catchers being the most accurate.  I don't think they could go all the way without dealing with an umpire strike. They are a union after all.  I get that, and the part of the gaming the system is out now. I have mixed feelings about it. In the end, with how bad some umpires have gotten, it's really their own fault for not living up to a better standard.

      It’s just going to make the umps look terrible. They should have gone all the way. The home plate ump is not in a good enough position to call low balls and strikes. He’s blocked out by the catcher. Mariano Rivera exploited that his whole career which was brilliant on his part.
