Desert racing - I'm a part of a Class 3 team, and we race the Baja 1000 (it's a monster huge deal logistically to get to Mexico from north Texas, so that's our one big race) I co-drive (navigate), chase, and wrench for the team. As much fun as I have, nothing comes close to being as badass as watching a Trophy Truck go blasting by at 120mph across the desert.

Rock Crawling - it's a great family activity, and makes for some exciting footage

Sporting Clays, Trap, Skeet - when I get a chance

Playing with my daughter - Sometimes it's golf, sometimes it's football, sometimes it's soccer.

On TV, I watch desert racing and CORR races, rock crawling when I can catch it, golf and college football. Otherwise it's the Discovery channel and History for the most part.

I'd have to go with NFL Football. Too many excellent hits. Ya have to catch up on your violent sports after watching a full PGA season. Ya know?

ha ha, i understand completely. golf is tons of fun, but there is nothing like seeing somebody get the crap knocked out of them, or better yet being the one to knock somebody on their butt.

growing up it was baseball/football but now that I'm grown it's Fishing/Golfing (I know alot of people don't few either as a Sport) but I do......

nothing beats a Birdie in Golf and Nothing beats a fish like this in Fishing:

and both are great sports to enjoy with the kids at some point in their lifes and for a very long time as well.

Field Hockey: nothing better dan a quick dummy or likewise to pass your opponent, and hit the ball right into the nets like it's a drive
Drums: really loving the beat and the quick snare roll techniques

Other than golf? Tennis, I played tennis for the early years in life, but switched to golf and never looked back, and I also love watching tennis grand slams and golf majors ...

I have always liked baseball. Played when I was younger but not anymore. Now golf is about all I play, sometimes a I might play softball or basketball. I enjoy teaching my daughter to play sports as she starting to take interest.

Love the football (American) season....
The only part of it I don't like is that means the golf season is coming to a close..
Then it's just watching football and hockey and posting here....
Oh yeah....and bowling.

    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
