I suspect that if she has played for a limited time, that she does not have the confidence to swing the longer clubs aggressively enough. Women tend to shallow out their swings on longer clubs and release the club early, yes strength is part of this....

This describes my wife perfectly. She has the short irons up to her 7i down...good variation, height...the longer clubs give her trouble, however.
