Used golf balls..who plays them?

I bought 48 MINT condition Callaway HX Blue for $49. I'm not sure if this was a smart thing to do but after previous playing with this ball I just loved it. Anyone else play/buy used balls?

I bought a bunch of used B330's and HX Tours for my shag bag and will ocassionally use them for practice rounds but I always use a new ball for tournaments or rounds with money

Generally I don't buy used balls but I've got no qualms about putting a ball I've used previously in play. I consider any of my used balls as old friends, having survived water, rough, and oil can wedges to earn another day in the sun.

And sometimes, they deserve a good ol' whack into the middle of the lake or a bunch of trees.

Unfortunately, most of the time they don't deserve a good whack into the trees or water but I do it anyway because I'm so generous, er, erratic.
