Is something wrong with my swing....or are my clubs MADE like this?

My clubs seem to have a "flat footed area". Is it my swing or are they designed this way? Wilson Optimax clubs....just a cheaper beginner set.

I could not find any other close up pics online. But I have to think you could not possibly flatten a steel club head by swinging (unless you swing down on a running belt sander with the abrasive face up). I am sure there is a marketing spin for having this flat spot.

The odds of doing it to every club the exact same way are slim.

Its some kind of thing made for the club, not really sure what it does. Probably just to give it a different look.

Found my box, and took a look. The close up on the box shows this "foot".

My only guess would be that is to lessen the drag created by hitting behind the ball. Meaning that if you take divots behind the ball, instead of in front like you should that it would allow the clubhead to follow through more easily? This is just a guess, I've never seen it before.

might just be his swing... i don't think wilson would put out a totally bogus product... hope your figure it out and play well with them...
