What is the most forgiving 2-iron?

The most forgiving two-iron is a hybrid. Dont bother with a normal two iron too unforgiving and difficult to hit.

Totaly agree, used to have a 2i but replaced it with a HALO 2i, goes further and straighter... enough said.

I want a 2-iron because when I played most of my rounds, they were in the wind. I carry a 21* hybrid and a 5-iron. The hybrid gets the ball too high in the air and doesn't go that far, same with the 5-iron. I want a club that stays out of the wind and have some control. I thought about building a Snake Eyes 675C 2-iron or MacGregor 565 2-iron. Anyone try these ones out yet?

Why not learn to hit a knockdown shot with your 5 iron. Its not very hard at all. Pros regularly play in the wind and barely any of them find the need to use a 2 iron.

I'm going to get a 2-iron, looking to either match my S58's or probably go with a Ping i10 (bigger head, more forgiving). Any of the old big pings are easy enough to hit too.

I want to get one as well, maybe the Mizuno fli-hi hybrid-iron, because the traditional hybrid I use I can't hit well at all, but I love to hit my 3 iron, so I think I would like the Mizuno better.

How about an iron type hybrid? I have an 18* Mizuno Fli Hi that I like real well. It'll hit the ball long and low and it's a lot more forgiving than an actual 2 iron IMO.

Yes Jack they do - just waiting to start a job so once the paycheques start coming in i'll be ordering one in. I think it's a better option than the S58.

I'd say i'll take my 3-iron or Rescue out of the bag, depending on the course/par 3's/par 5's. Anyone hit the Rapture 2 iron?
