I have numerous times on different cousres. The holes are not particularly long at about 285 to 300 yds. Most of the time I'm on the front edge depending on the bounce and roll...it may go through the green. More than once I have only parred the hole but thankfully nothing worse

Cheers,
Eric

I dont consider 260-280 yrd holes a par 4. If you are then i've driven over 20. Once i smoked a drive slightly up hill on a 310 yrd hole to the front edge.

If It says its a Par 4, then its a par 4, its too long for a par 3.

About a month ago my drive landed 10ft from the green on the first hole at my home course. It's a 337yd par 4.

There's a cart path that runs along the left side of this ever so slight dogleg left. I pulled my drive and hit the path and it bounced all the way up there lol

Other than that, no....

yep twice a 326 yards at Selsdon park.(eng) three putted for a par and a 350 (all down hill) at Monte Mayor (spain) birdie!
Had a go at a few others and ended up on the fringe, always seem to get too excited though and mess up with the putts

Technically it is a par 4. But dont forget the 260 yard par 3 at oakmont. PGA tour players frequently play par 3's between 210-230 yrds... most long hitters can drive greens that are 300-350 and most of the 260 yard holes i see arent at a full length course. I guess those are a couple reasons why i cant justify a 260 yrd hole as a par 4.

Thats just my opinion, dont take it to heart.

Well I have a par 3 at my course that is in the range that most of you guys are driving your par 4's. It is 220 metres (about 255 yards), and plays into the wind up hill. Even our A graders need to hit 3 woods or drivers to get there.
There is also a 288 metre par 4 that I hit into a greenside bunker on the weekend, which has a water hazard at about 250 off the tee. Very risky/lucky to make it.

I think its funny how all the people 3 putt when they drive the greens.
It must be pressure, and it shows that not all short holes are easy, as undulating greens make a huge difference.

Been pin high on the fringe twice (both times taking a "shortcut" on dogleg lefts playing over trees) but never on the green.

Yes, my home course has several that are reachable if you have any sort of power. There about 300-330 yards. Just don't miss hit one though, because if you do your hitting another off the tee. :)

My home course is a par 30 with 3 par 4's that are all reachable so i have driven those but i have driven other legit par 4's.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
