Driving iron, anyone use em?

Hi,
I've recently undergone major swing surgery to get consistency with my 4 and 3 irons to the point now where my 3 iron off the tee is only 20 - 30 yards behind my driver on a firm fairway. ie my carry is far less than with the driver but I get far more roll with my 3 iron which will usually make the 220yrd mark. However accuracy with my 3 iron is far better and hence my confidence soars when I'm on a tee with my trusty 3 in my hands. However I'm now thinking bout adding a 2 or even a driving iron to my arsenal. I have tried utility woods but can never get the kind of confidence with them as my 3 gives me. So that option is not for me. Can anyone reccomend a currently available driving iron I could try?

I'm going to get a Ping 2 iron - i10 or Rapture. Only heard good things. I don't really hit my 3 iron except off the tee on tight par 4's. I'm have better control with my long irons than I do woods, so depending on the course (long par 3's etc) I'll have a 2 iron in the bag.

I would prefer to use a 3 wood it has about the same loft (15 degrees), larger clubhead and the longer shaft length would help with distance.

Unless of course your 2 iron is more accurate than 3 wood. YMMV

Do you slice your driver?

If I could get the distance out of my 3 iron, I would drive with it. The accuracy that I have with it is awesome.
