Ogio Mammoth Travel Bag
Bag Boy THC-3 3pc Hard Case Travel Cover

Anyone have any input as to the pro's and cons with real life experience in handling these two things in transit?

I know that the hard case obviously has more piece of mind due to the hard case. But I'm wondering whether this can even play a role against the Mammoth Travel bag..

Please suggest others if you feel that there are better or ....

I've used an SKB for years.

I does well with the medium sized bags like the one in my sig line.

It rolls nicely and is hardsided to protect your sticks. Also it's waterproof.

I bought it for airline travel but mainly use it now when we are roadtripping somewhere and I'm driving my truck. I'll simply throw the case in the back and know that my clubs are safe from the weather and theives (when I lock both the case lid and handles to my tie down unit).

The clubgloves look like really super units, too.

Ive got the OGIO Mammoth. Nice bag, its huge, you might even call it a mammoth. When I went to Maui, i got all my clubs, 2 pairs of shoes, beach towels, snorkel stuff, couple dozen balls, 4 or 5 hats(the crush proof compartment rocks), and I stuffed a couple of six packs of the local beers on the way back and it still had room for more. A little spendy, but worth it. It held up pretty well to the local man handling it was given.

I got the club glove burst. It's a tight fit but that is what people is telling how it should be. I actually have to put my ogio sideways. Is that right? Anyway either way I did have a hard time fitting it on the trunk I can't even imagine a mammoth so I may opt that out of the list I like the features but I don't think I'll make it to airport with the mammoth.

The glide is another I will look into. How is it supposed to fit in the bag? Loose or tight?

ClubGlove BurstProof II with wheels and a StiffArm.

Never had a single problem. I know some people think the BP2 is too small, and prefer the ClubGlove Last Bag, but I wouldn't want to travel with anything bigger than the BP2. I can get my stand bag, shoes, and a few other small items in it.

And Nutsy, yes, the BP2 should be snug. Not "tight", but definitely snug.

The Club Glider does look handy, but truthfully, I've never felt awkward, exerted, or uncomfortable with the BP2. It's very easy to pull around and (if I've packed it correctly) it stands up on its own. But then again, I'm 6'4" and 210 lbs. Some of the more petite ladies, or those who haul around big cart or staff bags - I can see where the flip down wheels would be very helpful.

And I think I've given this tip before, but if you have your choice of colors, get something unusual. Forget about looking cool, go for something you can spot easily at baggage claim.

I got it into a Chrysler mid size rental with four people and some suit cases. Im sure all of the other bags are great, I just always stick with Ogio because of the features. Let me know if you need me to take pics of it next to things so you can gauge its size.

Gasman,

Please please, get me a picture. I'm thinking of still getting the Mammoth if what you say is on par (no pun intended). Right now I'm leaning towards the ClubGlider. I will wait till Monday to finally place my order between one or the other. So far, I have arrived at the hotel and I can say based on the video that club glider has on the website, I did experience that. I didn't think much of it but the video did say a thousand words and made me rethink the concept of it. Otherwise, the club glove without seeing the video was awesome. I'm wondering though whether the ogio mommoth is the same size as the club glider? Anyone can verify?

Re: Club Glider.

Interesting. I thought, after "Fore Inventors Only", Club Glider was going to distribute solely through Sun Mountain:
http://www.sunmountain.com/default.p...3184_3241_3378

But the links posted in this thread show they are also selling directly:
http://www.theclubglider.com/store/products/clubglider

So, I'm curious. Other than the logo, does anyone know if there are any differences between the bags sold by Club Glider vs. those sold by Sun Mountain?

Same thing. In fact, I think Sun Mountain handles the fulfillment of the bags ordered via the ClubGlider website. All the same.

Review coming in a week or so.

So I tried to stuff it into my girlfriends old mustang trunk and it didnt really fit. Also I noticed there is not as much room with a cart bag as opposed to my old stand bag, but I put pics of both.

Here it is folded up, tucks away in the corner of the hotel room nicely. < http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0776.jpg

Here it is with cart bag in it, its kind of hard to see in the pic, but you could still stuff a decent amount of stuff on the sides.

Here it is standing, not much to compare height width.

Here with the stand bag, notice a lot more room on the sides. This was the bag I used last time I flew with my clubs. My cat decided to show you the room it has.

Awesome!

Thanks for the pictures! My only concern now I guess is I thought travel bags are supposed to have a snug fit over your stand and/or cart bag. With you cart bag, that's great! With your stand bag, isn't that a concern? Of course, you can stuff it with other things nut then weight may be a concern. Anyway Im sure its still great.

When I had the cart bag I would just stuff it with things so they wouldnt rattle. There are straps which keep them in place. As far as weight goes, i never got charged for oversize baggage. I always just tip the skycap 15 bucks and they let it slide.

I have a Callaway Warbird Hot standbag. Going on vacation to FL next month and need a travel bag to carry my clubs. It's not something I'm going to use very often, so don't want to spend a fortune. I've seen a Ping travel cover at Rock Bottom Golf for about $30, but doesn't have any wheels. Anybody have other recommendations?
