Well at least my thread made people think about what some of these guys on tour try to do.I have come to the conclusion that to have a truly fair open all golfers are only allowed 2 practice rounds. That rule would be in effect from the last day of the previous years open. Then everybody would be at the same advantage or should I say disadvantage.

I guess they shouldn't have a regular Tour event there, either. And Phil has played more practice rounds than many others, and look what it's gotten him. I don't think it would affect the (dis)advantage at all. The current rules are fine.

Phil will likely hit the driver a lot today.

The reason I say that is against guys like Phill and Tiger and the other top guys who can afford to fly back and forth for the extra practice rounds and walk throughs. The guys that have to qualify are at a distinct disadvantage and they should not be.This is our national OPEN championship and it should be as level a playing ground as possible.

Rocco qualified and look what the lack of practice rounds got him. Oh, right... He's not helping your case.

Limiting practice rounds would be dumb. Guys that win the Masters can play just about whenever they want. Should they change that rule too? At any rate, we're off topic. Start a new one if you'd like others to discuss this.
